Tonight will mark my first fitness session. Well, actually, this will be my fitness measurement really. Can I touch my toes, doe I die on the treadmill, etc. I'm still excited. I'm really looking forward to jumping in and getting going with a program. As I'm building a home gym there are a few items I guess I will be using a LOT in personal training that I will want to replicate in my home gym. One of those things is TRX. I have heard from so many people that I will have a love-hate relationship with these bands. I'm interested to see what that's going to be about.
I had an MRI yesterday - should be the last test for a while. Waiting to hear from my doc about the findings. My fingers are crossed that all the inflammation on the pancreas has subsided. I sure do feel better. That's for sure. I realized that it's been a month today, exactly, from the attack and I haven't had anything junky in that time. Coca Cola, off the list. And let me tell you...that was my downfall. Have a Coke and a smile -- I took that literally. I would down 3-4 glasses at lunch out. And usually have a can or so a day at home. No more...
I've stayed away from greasy, fried, and less healthy food, instead indulging on salads, lean meats, seafood, and fruits. Avocados are about my highest fat foods, and they don't seem to bother me. I'm enjoying feeling satisfied but not over full. I'm excited to see what this next month will bring.
Aside from health updates, I am excited to report that after coveting a trestle table at RH for two years, that baby is finally mine. They had a sale, and Frank was on board...It shipped from the warehouse today. I am SO excited! Now to see the table and chairs we have. This new one is a beaut and will look stellar in our house with all the upgrades we've done.
We are finally moving upstairs with updates. We will be starting construction on our master bath shortly. When we bought our home, it was a spec. Someone else built it and picked everything and we wound up buying it as is. That included a 3-piece bath in the master. We will be remedying that shortly by moving the joining wall in the master closet back 2 feet and then the works, moving plumbing electrical, etc. I can't wait until it's finished! :)
I think that's about all on the home front. I'll check in and update how my first personal training session went.
