So yesterday was a planned afternoon at Elitch's. Got the lunches made to eat on the way, check. Everyone has their swimsuits for the waterpark, check. We get everyone in the car, we're on our way to pick up one more swimsuit for Kenzie's girlfriend and we roll down the windows in my Jeep for just a second while the air conditioning kicks in and upon rolling them back up I hear the dreaded noise. eeerrrrrrrbam...down goes my window in the back passenger side. And by down I mean LOST IN THE DOOR. It's a known problem with Jeeps. Makes me nuts. Totally inconvenient, especially when its been raining every afternoon and we're thinking of parking it downtown at Elitch's.
We go to Megan's, who happens to reside in the same cul-de-sac as Dee & Cal and in pulls Denise in her Scion. The heaven's part and I realize my girlfriend will come to my rescue. I run over and with pleading eyes ask what you can only ask of a very best girlfriend. I ask for her car...she doesn't skip a beat and hands me the keys. I am wayyyy greatful, our day will go on and I won't worry about rain or theft for today. She even "ghetto'd" my car by adding tape and a black bag to the window. What would I do without a girlfriend like that?
The kids and I had a great time at Elitch's...we rode the rides, enjoyed the wave pool and didn't spend too much money...which in itself is a feat! We stayed for about 5 hours which is so much shorter than normal, but somehow felt just as satisfying...figure there's only a handful more visits in our future before school starts again. I'm finding I'm not dreading the time there...its fun even for kids my age.

It's not just a jeep thing. That happened in our maxima. I can't even tell you all of the "getto" things we did to try to keep that window in the up right position.
We were at eliches last week. Did you go on the half pipe water slide? Scary! Really, I thought I was going to die, like really die!

Same thing happened in my jeep. Glad you were still able to have a good day. :)
